Dr Samyajit Basu is a senior researcher in urban mobility group at the MOBI Mobility, Logistics and Automotive Technology Research Centre at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB). He is a graduate of the Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur and has a doctoral degree from the University of Roma Tre.
His primary research interests are sustainable transportation, transport policy, urban mobility, road safety and human factors in transportation. During his past research engagements, he has worked on urban mobility and environmental impact assessment projects funded by the Government of India and driving simulator studies in Italy. In addition to these research experiences, he has three years of teaching experience at university level. He is currently working in a Horizon2020 project titled INDIMO (Inclusive Digital Mobility Solutions).
