Jens Brandt is a PhD researcher at the School of Architecture, Tampere University, member of the research unit Cosmopolis.

His main work is with “the urban” on the borders between action research, process design and urban development. His present work is a “super site specific” method or active space that combines elements from participatory performance, pervasive games and psychogeography with my experience from work in vulnerable neighbourhoods. Active Space is a theory and practice based exploration of the (urban) Polis as a source of political transformations.
