Christophe Vanroelen is assistant professor of sociology at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel, Belgium.
He obtained a Phd in Social Health Sciences and a master degree in Sociology. His research focuses on the impact on health of determinants related to work and employment, the welfare state and social and health services. He currently coordinates a research project investigating the mental health of Brussels' youth enrolled in the Youth Guarantee Employment Programme.
