Sylvie Gadeyne

Sylvie Gadeyne holds a Master's degree in Sociology (University of Ghent, 1992), a Master's degree in Demography (Université Catholique de Louvain, 1998) and a PhD in Sociology (Vrije Universiteit Brussel, 2005). She is currently an Associate Professor at the Sociology Department of the Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB). Since 1995, Sylvie has been involved as a demographic research associate in several projects. Over the years, her research has evolved around two axes: i) socio-economic inequalities in mortality in Belgium and Europe; and ii) migration and residential segregation.
