Cosmopolis Lunch Seminar w\ Katerina Anastasiou | Brussels Centre for Urban Studies

            The Cosmopolis Lunch Seminars are meetings hosted by Cosmopolis, which allow researchers from within and outside of the research group to share progress and findings of their research on urban issues. Every presentation is a starting point for a larger debate on urban research issues tackled by all the participants. During 1h15, there is a presentation or debate with one or more (guest) speaker and ample time for further conversation with all present. Afterwards, we take a collective break (we provide desserts!) where conversations can continue in an informal setting.

Aikaterini Anastasiou is a PhD candidate at the Department of Architecture, KU Leuven and the Department of Geography, VUB. She holds a master's in architecture from the University of Thessaly and a joint master's in urban studies from Université Libre de Bruxelles & Vrije Universiteit Brussel. Her doctoral research focuses on alternative housing initiatives driven by the third sector in Brussels and their relationship with the right to housing. Methodologically her research departs from a socio-architectural perspective combining ethnography and drawing.
