Jessica van de Ven is coordinator of the urban citizens university “Brussels Academy”, in which researchers and urban experts share their knowledge of Brussels to give civil society the necessary tools to strengthen their actions and projects. Brussels Academy is an initiative of the Brussels Studies Institute, the platform for research on Brussels of five universities (VUB – ULB – KULeuven – UCLouvain - USL-B).

She is also board member of Muziekpublique, board member of SB34, member of the general assembly of the Zinneke Parade. She has a specific interest in cities, culture and society and a transversal knowledge on Brussels.
