Margo De Koster is assistant professor in historical criminology at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel and the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, and lecturer in modern social history at Universiteit Gent.

Margo studied History and Sociology at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel, where she obtained her PhD in History on girl delinquency in the interwar period, in 2003. She conducts historical-criminological research on juvenile delinquency and juvenile justice; gender, crime and justice; urban crime, policing and security; the history of criminology.
