Kobe Boussauw

His research is at the intersection of mobility and the built environment, viewed through the lenses of both urban planning and transport planning. Central themes in his work are proximity as a spatial quality, urban liveability, and sustainability, often with a focus on car dependency in relation to the built environment. He holds master degrees in engineering-architecture and urban and regional planning, and obtained a PhD in geography. His academic career was preceeded by positions as a consultant, as a civil servant at the Flemish government, and as an adviser at UN-Habitat in Kosovo.
