The candidate is required to have a master degree in Geography, Environmental Science, Urban Planning, Sociology or a related field, and graduated with a degree of at least distinction, giving access to the PhD school and NOT to hold any PhD degree. Previous research experience, (which must be no longer than 4 years), although appreciated, is not mandatory. Good oral communication skills in English are compulsory. Previous experience in GIS (Geographic Information Systems), statistical data analysis (e.g. regression analysis) and/or social research methods (surveys, interviews) is an asset.
eligibility
The candidate's appointment is a full-time fixed term for maximum 48 months based on a year-to-year renewable contract on condition of the positive evaluation of the PhD activities. Candidates matching the required profile will be evaluated until a successful candidate is appointed.
