Philippe De Clerck holds a master's degree in architecture (2011) from the Université libre de Bruxelles.

He is a founding partner of architecture and urbanism practice DEV-space, assistant teacher at the ULB Faculty of Architecture, and research fellow at sASHa - Architecture et Sciences Humaines and LoUIsE - Laboratory of Urbanism, Infrastructures and Ecology. His interest lies in the place spatial questions can take in public debate and culture though public, common or private initiatives, an interest which translates in his ongoing PhD which visualizes potential spatial innovations in the few long-lasting experiments of radical residential commoning in and around Brussels, and in proposals such as "Scheutbos as Metropolitan living Room" (in collaboration with Coloco and Gilles Clément). He was previously co-organizer of the masterclasses RE:WORK (2013) and END OF LINE (2014) and a collaborator of ]pyblik[, Quality cell for public space in Brussels.
