Maarten Liefooghe teaches and studies in Architectural History, Theory and Preservation. He is also associated with Ghent University’s Department of Architecture and Urban Planning as a post-doctoral researcher of the Flemish Research Foundation (FWO). His main research interest concern contemporary interactions of artistic, architectural, and curatorial culture, and architecture’s involvement in processes of musealization and display culture. He has studied and published on museum institutions and museum architecture – in particular the monographic museum –, the memory politics of urban reconstruction, and on exhibiting architecture.
