Kristien Van den Houte is an architect - urban planner and researcher at the Cosmopolis Centre for Urban Research. She is also researcher at the Policy Research Center for Housing (Steunpunt Wonen - KULeuven). Her research work focusses mainly on (innovative forms of) housing (collective housing) and housing and urban planning policies comparing Brussels’ and Flemish cases to international references. She is experienced in advising policy makers in the field of housing and urban planning. She is project coordinator of the Palestine Workshops 2016 on Mobility and Urban Livability at Cosmopolis, VUB in cooperation with the An Najah University (Nablus) and the Birzeit University (Ramallah).
