Our activities

Research
Situated in Brussels, the Centre is one of the largest urban studies centres in Europe. It comprises more than twenty research groups and two hundred researchers with the aim to support transdisciplinary research projects in the domain of urban studies.

Education
The Brussels Centre for Urban Studies offers urban studies programmes in English, Dutch and French, ranging from full programmes or specialisation tracks at Masters level to extracurricular programmes for EU staff, policy practitioners and civil society in Brussels.

Fellowships
The Brussels Centre for Urban Studies offers two types of visiting fellowships: 1) visiting research fellowships aimed at international researchers; and 2) civil society fellowships aimed at members of civil society in Brussels.

Events
The Brussels Centre for Urban Studies organizes and supports various urban studies activities both in- and outside of Brussels, ranging from public lectures and academic workshops to publications, exhibitions, excursions and other formats.

The Brussels Graduate School for Urban Research offers research and professional training for advanced Master and PhD students in the interdisciplinary domain of urban studies.
